OMAHA, Neb. — Medical Solutions is helping make wishes come true for Nebraska children with critical illnesses. For the second year in a row, Medical Solutions donated $7,500 to Make-A-Wish Nebraska during the Star 104.5 annual Make-A-Wish Radiothon held on Dec. 15, 2023. Medical Solutions’ employees also volunteered to answer phones during the radiothon, which raised more than $185,000, in eight hours.
Since it was founded in 1980, Make-A-Wish has granted more than 350,000 wishes for children with critical illnesses in the U.S. Last year, Make-A-Wish granted more than 9,500 wishes throughout the U.S. and its territories.
“Supporting Make-A-Wish is more than a charitable endeavor for us—it’s an extension of our care philosophy,” said Craig Meier, CEO of Medical Solutions. “At Medical Solutions, we aim to deliver the best care to patients by providing high-quality clinicians to organizations across the U.S. By supporting Make-A-Wish, we can extend our efforts one step further by impacting the most vulnerable patients, offering them a glimmer of hope and joy as they fight their illnesses.”
With a profound understanding of the impact critical illnesses have on individuals and their families, Medical Solutions consistently offers support through recurrent donations and volunteer initiatives, contributing to the fulfillment of wishes statewide. Medical Solutions has helped to grant three wishes, including the wish of a 15-year-old boy battling a serious heart condition whose wish was to travel to Hawaii with his family.
“Every fulfilled wish is a testament to the transformative power of hope, inspiring us to continue our support for the remarkable work Make-A-Wish does in igniting optimism and strength in the lives of these resilient children,” said Meier.
