Medical Solutions Moves PPR Travel Nursing to Its Brand

News & Announcements

Omaha, Neb., (March 1, 2021) – Medical Solutions, one of the nation’s largest providers of total workforce solutions in the healthcare industry, today announced that PPR Travel Nursing, located in Jacksonville, Fla., has sunset its brand and moved to the Medical Solutions brand. PPR will operate as Medical Solutions moving forward. The move follows Medical Solutions’ acquisition of PPR in 2018.

Founded in 1996, PPR has specialized in placing travel nurses in contract positions with healthcare facilities nationwide, along with interim healthcare leadership and staffing within the post-acute care market. Known for its focus on the employee experience, PPR was recognized for 13 years as a Fortune Magazine “Best Place to Work in America” and to the “Gallup 35 Most Engaged Workforces” list.

“We are thrilled to formally move PPR Travel Nursing to the Medical Solutions brand,” said Craig Meier, CEO, Medical Solutions. “Since PPR was acquired nearly three years ago, our companies have worked alongside each other under a shared vision, purpose, and commitment to leading our industry and providing an exceptional customer experience. As Medical Solutions expands market share and diversifies our service offerings, PPR has been instrumental to our growth and transformation. I look forward to what we will accomplish together as one combined company.”

Ranked as the fourth largest healthcare staffing company in the U.S. by Staffing Industry Analysts (second largest in both nursing and allied health), Medical Solutions continues to expand through robust organic growth and strategic acquisitions. In 2017, Medical Solutions partnered with TPG Growth, the middle market and growth equity platform of alternative asset firm TPG. TPG Growth has continued to be an active partner to Medical Solutions and facilitated both the acquisition of PPR and, in 2019, the acquisition of C&A Industries. With the acquisition, Medical Solutions grew from a $500 million to a $1 billion+ company, expanded its market share, and further diversified its value proposition, primarily into the allied health space as well as into non-clinical staffing.

Medical Solutions will continue to operate its Jacksonville office, along with its Tampa, Fla. location. Headquartered in Omaha, Neb., Medical Solutions has additional regional offices located in San Diego, Calf., Denver, Colo., Cincinnati, Ohio., and Tupelo, Miss.
